Thousands of local residents from all faith communities and none gathered at Luton Town Hall on Friday 20 October to share their concern about the loss of life, injustice and indifference shown to the genocide taking place in Palestine.

Led by Luton Mosques, the event included impassioned speeches from faith leaders and community representatives calling for justice and an end to violence in the Middle East. Speakers condemned terrorism, apartheid, indiscriminate killing, Islamophobia and anti-semitism and called upon shared human values.

Politicians and influencers were called to raise their voices for truth and address the flagrant violations of international law.  Specifically, the demonstration called for:

1. An immediate ceasefire
2. Immediate and unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza
3. An end to the siege on Gaza
4. An end to hostility in the West bank

The event concluded with prayers for peace.
