Following the worst floods in Pakistans history impacting the lives of 14 million people, Luton mosques and community members undertook a massive fundraising campaign raising more than £250,000 in donations through a range of innovative activities including bucket collections at Sainsburys, auctions and charity dinners.

Luton Council of Mosques also liaised closely with London-Luton airport, Luton Sixth form college and Luton Borough Council to coordinate a community-wide food & blanket drive. Items were dropped off at community centres and then flown over to Pakistan for distribution to more than 10,000 people in need.
