Bringing community concerns into conversations with elected representatives, public services and local partners.

Our advocacy has brought concerns about community safety, education, faith practice and access to services into meetings with MPs, councillors and public service leaders.
This work connects the experiences of local communities with those responsible for policy and services. Dated reports and original letters provide a record of the issues raised.
Past advocacy has included halal food procurement, faith-sensitive funeral arrangements and cemetery provision. These conversations help service providers understand the practical needs of Muslim communities.
In November 2016, Luton Mosques published concerns raised with the local authority and its decision not to support the Prevent strategy. Later correspondence covered counter-extremism policy and the Agents for Change programme.
These dated statements remain part of our advocacy archive. Their original wording and publication dates are preserved; they describe the position expressed at the time.
