For the attention of all parents with children in state, faith or independent schools. The government have announced that Sex and Relationship Education (SRE) will be made statutory in schools from September 2019. This affects primary and secondary schools.
Parents and other stakeholders are being asked to take part in a consultation on what should be taught and the guidance which underpins the subject.
It is important that concerned parents, Mosques & Faith Institutions respond to the consultation.
