Members of Luton mosques attended the Muslim Council of Britain’s Our Youth Our Future conference on 12 October joining more than 500 mosque leaders and young people from across Britain to explore how mosques can better engage with Muslim youth.

MCB Secretary General Harun Khan said, “If we truly believe that our youth are our future, then surely it’s time our mosques become more serious about listening, involving and investing in our young people.”

There were a range of workshops addressing knife crime prevention, mental health awareness, creating Mosque football clubs, supporting ex-offenders, safeguarding young people and the role of young Imams and Alimahs.
