Luton mosques organised a protest against the illegal military occupation of Kashmir, the escalation in hostility in the region and further infringement of the human rights of Kashmiris:
- Curfews
- No Internet
- No mobile connection
- More Indian troops sent into the most militarised region in the world
- Fear of imminent genocide
The event was held on Friday 9th August with a peaceful, organised march from Luton Central Mosque to the town hall.
More than 1500 people joined to show solidarity with Kashmiris in their struggle for freedom and the right to self-determination.
